According to the latest news, T46-Golden Monkey Stamp become one of the most popular stamps in this year. In the auction in Hongkong, it was bidded for 5175$, and this price is unprecedented. That just shows its popularity. The following are the details about this Golden Monkey stamp-T46

I recall this stamp being recently auctioned in Perth Western Australia
by Ace Stamp Auctions.
Reserve was $400 AUD and there were 5 postal bids
Unsure of the selling price.

This stamp was already way above most others of this period in China but what made it jump to such a high trade value ?

Did it have a low printing figure ?

Because it was the first stamp - Year of the.. ?
