The Pitcairn Bounty Bible.

An additional 4d issue SG5b with First Day cancellation additional inscriptional block of four.

To the ardent collector the price is negligible !

GEM of the Day !

Hi Bird Collectors,

The Wattle Crane - Because of its 'wattles' under the 'chin'.

Special 1993 limited issue because of the security perforations.

A fine block to add to your collection.

'Wing Margins' are much wider perforated stamps mostly found on values in the early years up to 1900 and lesser beyond.

Fine used copies even on Cover is the collectors item with clear Postmark - Town &date. This 4d Orange Free State Item (SG19) was issued in 1878.

Hi Pui,

Orange Free State was one of the provices, similar to Natal, Cape of Good Hope & Transvaal of the Union of South Africa. You would find all detail under South Africa in the catalogues. Historically Break-away republics from the Cape of Good Hope. Establishing they own Republics Transvaal & Orange Free State plus a few smaller short lived states. Because of Victoria and greed for Gold and Diamonds for the Empire.

Hi Erich,

The other name of Orange Free State is Orange River Colony. Correct me if I am wrong.
