Perforations~ HELP!

Perforations are a study within themselves, and can be quite surprising.

I am adding an image of a [Sea Rescue] stamp that has "S.O.S" in Morse Code in its perforations.

Any imperforate stamp now cut from its carrier [Souvenir sheet etc]
is now considered "mutilated" and invalid for postage.

Hi Rod,

The miniature sheet may now be too big for the envelope and result in problems.

So S.O.S . stands for Save Our Stamps :lol:

and I thought it meant "Stamp Out Self-adhesive"

Stamp Out Self-adhesives is also good, but that Rubicon was crossed long ago and will be adapted more and more.
My guess is, they will be using Vending machines to cancel local mail.
