Jewelry in Bosnia and Herzegovina in the nineteenth and first half of the twentieth century, combines and preserves the elements of the oldest Culture – ancient Balkan, Herzegovina, West Mediterranean, Levantine, Middle European.
Historical, political, economical and cultural conditions are very visibly manifested on the jewelry, as an inseparable part of clothing, jewelry has always reflected the current situation and the life of an environment. Bosnia-Herzegovina jewelry reflects the cultural complexity of which is present in all of its contents and that makes it very distinctive (“Bosnian”. “Herzegovina”), but similar with jewelry neighboring and distant parts of the South Slavic and Balkan area. This is mostly manifested in the types of materials used for its development, technology and construction techniques, forms, ornaments, purpose ...
The motive of our brands is tepeluk, the end of the nineteenth century.

Vladimir2202 ....

I have moved all the posts to this one topic and would be grateful if further postings could all be made here ...

Making a post for each issue under new headings and often in diffent sections just scatters the information everywhere on the board and this not only makes information harder to find but just makes the details fragmented for other users ...

Many thanks ... ALLAN

Maria Sklodowska Curie was born in 1867 in Warsaw, the fifth child in a teaching family. Her mother suffered from tuberculosis and died when Mary was 12 years. Her father was a free views, while the mother was a zealous Catholic. Finishing high school in 1883, with older sister Bronjislava signed an agreement that will financially support during her medical studies in Paris, in exchange for her sister begins to assist financially in the same way, for two years. Due to an agreement with her sister Mary is employed as teacher for small children.
In 1891 Mary is in Paris, in the Sorbonne registered as students in the department of physics and chemistry, and she also worked. In 1893 has passed as the first in a generation. She worked and continued studying, passing mathematics also in 1894. That year she met her future husband, Frenchman Pierre Curie.

In her greatest achievements include work on the theory of radioactivity, radioactive isotope separation techniques and the discovery of two new chemical elements - the radon and polonium. Under her personal supervision was carried out, first in the world, research about the possibility of healing cancer with radioactivity. She was one of the founders of a new branch of chemistry – radiochemistry. She was a double winner of the Nobel Prize, the first time in 1903 of physics, along with her husband and Henry Becquerel for scientific advances in the study of radioactivity, and the second time in 1911 of chemistry, for the separation of elemental radon. She has remained the only woman to have won the Nobel Prize twice.

Mary died in 1934 of aplastic anemia, which is almost certainly as result of exposure to radiation, because the harmful effects of ionizing radiation were not yet known . Mary and Pierre older daughter Irene was awarded the Nobel Prize in Chemistry in 1935, and younger daughter Eve wrote her mother's biography “Madame Curie”.

The forest is a complex plant community or biogeocenosis (ecosystem) of forest trees are affected by each other and the environment in which they are located. The main parts of the forest as an ecosystem are land, air, forest biological community and geological foundation.
Forests are the most complex terrestrial ecosystems. In addition to these trees has many other species of plants, animals, fungi and microorganisms. The complexity of forests is reflected in their expressed stories and diverse interdependence of all living members of the community.
Forests for centuries have been a place where the man supplied wood for fuel, construction and forest products for food. Unplanned wood cutting, a man threatens to the nature.
Forest ecosystems are very diverse. However, regardless of such great diversity, all forests can be grouped into four basic types: broadleaf evergreen, broadleaf deciduous, coniferous evergreen and deciduous conifer.
In the forests basic food were made by green plants in the process of photosynthesis. Plants are food for different types of herbivores, most notably insects and birds. Insects and other herbivores carnivores feed on the first order (insects, carnivorous, insectivora, birds). For meat-eaters first order continues a whole series of other carnivores. On top of trophic pyramids are carnivores such as bear, wolf and lynx.
For the survival of planet Earth have great significance have forests. The immediate and the biggest benefit of forests is the production of oxygen. At the initiative of the General Assembly of the European Confederation of Agriculture the 1971, in the world 21st March was marked as the World Forestry Day.
